Privacy notice
This notice explains how Permatter processes personal data in the Permatter Portal. Contact: privacy@permatter.com.
Data we process
Account data of clinic and laboratory staff (name, e-mail, phone, company, login and audit records); case data entered by clinics (patient name or reference, treatment notes); intraoral 3D scans and the retainer designs made from them.
Purposes
Designing and manufacturing fixed lingual retainers, communication about cases, invoicing, security (access control, audit logging) and, only where separately agreed, improving automated design tools.
Legal basis
Performance of the contract with the clinic; legal obligations (e.g. medical device and tax records); the clinic's responsibility as data controller for its patients' data, for which Permatter acts as processor; explicit consent where required for health data.
Recipients and transfers
Hosting, e-mail and (if enabled) AI service providers acting on our instructions, and shipping carriers. Patient names are not sent to AI services. Transfers abroad only with appropriate safeguards.
Retention
Case records are kept as required for manufacturing and legal obligations. Clinics can set a retention period after which scans are deleted and patient names anonymised, and can request erasure of an individual case.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, and complain to the data protection authority. Write to privacy@permatter.com.
Automated design
Automatic design proposals are always reviewed and approved by a technician and the clinic; no decision about a patient is made solely by automated means.
